Last night, district staff battled in an intense basketball game in the Dome for the annual CV Mini-THON Staff vs. Staff basketball game. The game attracted many spectators ranging from elementary to high school students and boosted the fundraising efforts of the 2024 CV Mini-THON campaign.
CV Mini- THON which is only 38 days away. This event, among others, raised money for the grand reveal at the end of the event. Funds were raised through entrance fees, concessions, half time games, and a 50/50 raffle.
It was a close game in the first half with Courage and Strength neck and neck. The team names represent two of the four tenets of the Four Diamonds Fund. Both teams revealed their competitive nature at tip-off as the game tempo began fast and furious.
During halftime, elementary and middle school students were allowed to sign up and participate in the halftime games. The half time games were Knockout and Musical Chairs. Both half time games brought great energy to the game.
Team Courage broke free and took a solid lead in the second half, securing their win as the buzzer sounded. It was a night full of excitement that helped build up the anticipation for the night when the high schoolers will dance for the kids!
