Beginning in late January, one of Cumberland Valley’s favorite restaurants, Chick-Fil-A on Carlisle Pike, will be closing for renovations. The next closest location can be found by Capitol City Mall. With many CV residents choosing the Carlisle Pike location as a their go-to, how are they handling the news?

“Me personally, I’m upset because I really like that Chick-Fil-A and my family goes there a lot,” Junior Aisha Trump said. “It’s gonna be annoying having to drive 10 to 15 minutes to the one by the mall when it usually takes me two to three minutes at max to get to the one on the pike. I’m hoping it can be a fast process.”

According to Chick-Fil-A’s corporate office, the renovations are anticipated to take about five to six weeks til it’s expected reopen in March.

“Well I didn’t even know but now that I do, I am upset because it is right next to my house and I feel like they literally don’t need the renovations. The closest Chick-fil-A is like 20 minutes away,” junior Alex Dreihaup.

“I’m also curious on what they will be renovating, so that will be exciting to see the finishing product. I hope it’ll be nice and not a waste of time,” Trump added.

The renovations will consist of remodels to the drive-through, entrance, and interior.

“I’m sad. I go there at least twice a week,” Junior Jordan Union said.

“It’s one of my favorite places to go when I want a quick meal and now that it’s closing I have to find another place,” Junior Morgan Smeltz said.

The Carlisle Pike Chick-fil-A serves as a destination of choice for many Cumberland Valley residents each day. For updates on the restaurant’s renovations, visit their facebook or instagram pages.
